Novation has announced Dicer, a fully integrated digital vinyl performance controller. The USB powered Dicer comes in sets of two for placement on a turntable, laptop, or CDJ’s and can be programmed to control Serato Scratch Live, Native Instruments Traktor, Ableton Live, and even Propellerhead Reason.
Dicer comes with an expected price tag of $99 and will be available late June/early July 2010. Read More

Nigel Sylvester teamed up with Gatorade to release the first video in a series that shows his unique life as a pro BMX rider. The video is one of three to be released -- all of which were conceptualized and written by Nigel and Glenn PP Milligan. The videos show just how crazy Nigel's life is on and off a bike, and has a cool storyline woven throughout the three videos.
This first video, "The Night Episode," shows Nigel as he cruises the streets of New York City after dark, with fellow riders Ralphy Ramos, Tyrone Williams and Ralphy Bury, and follows them from bike to boutique to bar. Read More

Denis McGrath
Dennis McGrath was born in New Jersey in 1969. He became interested in photography when he started skateboarding in the mid-80’s. In 1994 he took a more serious interest while studying at the San Francisco Art Institute. From 1995-2005 he shot for most major skateboard publications worldwide. In 2005 Dennis stepped away from photographing skateboarding to focus on more personal documentary type work. He is interested in story-telling through the photographic process with the use of text and ephemera to help tell a story. His work was shown in the Bay Area Now 4 show at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in 2005 as part of the Hamburger Eyes exhibit. He lives and works in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
